GAMES

Gaming is becoming a huge force in the media world that people of all ages can engage in. As gaming technology gets more advanced, the player is able to experience the world of the video game with a more interactive experience- the player can change camera angles to be able to view the world around them instead of being restricted to a flat 2D plane from older generation consoles. I am interested in making the player be more engaged in the world around them, to not be restricted to one angle or view from a static camera, but to fully explore and experience the environment of the game.

All games were made using Steam.

MAZE (working title)

In an empty room, the player must navigate through the space to reach a single box placed in front of them. However, if the player goes on the wrong path, they'll be teleported to the beginning of the maze. The reward for reaching the end of the maze might not be what the player expects either.

Inspiration for this game came from the myth of the minotaur and the trials of the people who were forced to navigate through a maze, only to be destroyed by the monster at the end.

ROOM ESCAPE (working title)

Room escape games really force the player to pay attention to their surroundings, because it is little details that players have to notice and pick up to be able to work their way out of the space they're confined in. Using Steam's use of first person view, it brings the interactive and exploration aspect of room escape games to the next level by letting the player explore the room at their own pace instead of going from still screens of different walls in the room.
